There are a lot of rare aquarium fish and aquarists develop a fascination in them because of their beauty and uniqueness. The first thing I asked myself when I heard about this is "what makes a fish rare?" For one, it refers to how difficult specimens are reproduced. Fish rarity often works in a sequence where breeders tend to concentrate on species which will make them profit. Other fish are considered rare because they are just recently introduced to the fish trade. Some aquarists actually breed a new variety and they will try to limit the ability of others to breed. This is often done by selling only one of the two sexes for sale.
One of the rare aquarium fish is the Doitsu Shiro Utsuri live Koi. It has a nice body form, beautiful uniform markings and it is solid black and white. You will notice that this Koi has a black base on pectoral fins and large black patterns that seem to be well placed from head to tail.
This fish has completely smooth scales. Next is the Albino Hi Shusui Live Koi. What's so unique about this fish? Well for one, the skin is white instead of blue and it has a deep burgundy red color. The pectoral and anal fins contain red identical markings. The head is clean white and so is the shoulder which creates a fantastic contrast with the red markings.Another rare aquarium fish is the Doitsu Platinum Live Koi. What's rare about this fish? As the name implies-Platinum, it has a clean snow white color and its head is smooth. The body is scaleless as well. This is a single-color fish and there's no hint of color anywhere. The pectoral fins are also characterized by its snow white color. Fourth is the Ayawakaba Japanese Live Koi. This fish is typified by its light blue skin and orange patterns. This is a product of Shusui and Midorigoi, no wonder it is so beautiful. It also has a perfect row of scales on its back (zipper). The combination of orange, blue and green colors will make this rare fish a great addition to your pond.
